“I’ve been fishing my whole life, since I was able to hold a pole on my own. I have caught pretty much every species of fresh water sport fish there was. But there was one species that I never caught before, that was on my “Bucket List” that I have been wanting to catch for a while. That Species that everyone refers to as “the fish of a thousand casts”. Well I finally decided that it was about time that I Pursue the Musky. I was at new position at work and was getting married while still in training for my new job. I was only able to get 2 days off of work for a Honeymoon. So my soon to be wife and I chose to spend our honeymoon at Lake Chautauqua. To my surprise, she agreed to go musky fishing while on our honeymoon. So I did some research for Guided Muskie fishing and came across Muddy Creek Fishing Guides. My wife and I went out fishing with Vance, He was extremely professional and knowledgeable all while being fun at the same time. We had a blast, Vance had my wife casting a bait caster (her first time ever) like a Pro in no time. And then it Happened…..I had a FISH ON! Talk about excitement, Vance coached me all the way and we got the Musky in the net after a few minutes of fighting. That was a moment that my wife and I will never forget. The boat was full of Adrenaline and I felt like I was on top of the world. All thanks to Vance and his guidance and putting us where the fish were. My Muskie ended up being 48” long. From That moment I was never the same, and my wife new from the look in my eye that I was hooked for life. My wife was so excited, she even gave that Musky a big kiss. The Trip with Muddy Creek Fishing Guides with Vance was Definitely a Highlight of our Honeymoon. I highly recommend spending the day on the water chasing your dream with Vance. “When I was a kid I went up to Canada every year to fish for musky and bass. Musky fishing basically entailed spending the day throwing bucktails towards the shoreline. I wanted to start fishing more for musky around the western Pennsylvania and southwestern New York areas but felt fishing for musky around here would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I found Todd’s info on the internet and booked a trip to lake Arthur. We caught a 39” very hefty musky and a pike. Since then I’ve booked trips to Pymatuning and Chautauqua. I’ve averaged about two musky a trip which far exceeded my expectations for lakes around here. More than simply catching fish the best thing you’ll gain from Todd is the experience and knowledge he has of knowing how and where to fish for them. Now when I go musky fishing I don’t feel like I’m trying to find a needle in a haystack but I have confidence in knowing how and where to fish for them. I’ve also increased my catch ratio when I make an annual trip to Canada. If you’re interested in learning more about battling freshwater’s most elusive and powerful predator or if you simply want to take your family out for a day of musky fishing I can’t think of anyone I would recommend more than Todd Young.”
